A well-respected private & public sector leader with a strong track record in building strong teams, partnerships and leading positive change with vision, optimism and integrity. Zak joined the police service, accredited as a detective and succeeded in the national selection process for the accelerated promotion Fast Track Constable to Inspector programme. Since leaving the police to pursue business prospects, primarily in retrofit, decarbonisation and the property market. This eventually led to Zak founding Qwala. In May 2022 he was elected as a Councillor for Hyndburn Borough Council, and currently serves as the Cabinet portfolio holder for Economic Development & Sustainability. He was appointed as a Lancashire Ambassador in August 2022, has a property management and consultancy business, and is heavily involved in voluntary work. Zak created Qwala as a force for good at its core.
